During the summer of 2019, IAE had the pleasure of working alongside ID Agro to design and supply the internal equipment to a newly erected bull rearing facility in the German state of Hessen. The construction of the Roundhouse marked the final stage of change from a leased dairy farm to a state-of-the-art bull rearing facility.

The Roundhouse 30 has been installed at the site and has capabilities of housing and handling up to 140 animals. Six of the eight pens within the Roundhouse have been designed purely with bull fattening in mind. The remaining two pens are suitable for housing female cattle and have been designed accordingly to keep them away from the bulls.

As in most Roundhouses, this one is equipped with a well thought out handling system, that is complete with a loading dock and collecting yard.

The shape and colour of the Roundhouse enables it to fit into its surrounding landscape effortlessly, with many passers-by taking the time to stop and view the Roundhouse.
