Internal Sales Executive

IAE have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Sales Executive to join our busy and growing Sales team. This role will focus on driving revenue across our range of Mesh Systems, Railings, Sports Mesh and Shelters, with a strong emphasis on outbound sales activity and relationship development, alongside handling inbound enquiries.

  • Salary: £30,975 - £36,871 (OTE)
  • Hours: 39

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business through outbound calls, emails, and lead follow-up activity.
  • Handle inbound sales enquiries, converting opportunities into orders and identifying upsell potential.
  • Build and develop strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products and solutions to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, negotiate where appropriate, and close sales.
  • Manage and nurture a pipeline of prospects using Salesforce, ensuring all activity is tracked and followed up.
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, delivering a professional and positive experience at all times.
  • Upsell and cross-sell relevant products to increase order value and customer lifetime value.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, services, and competitor activity.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience or strong interest in outbound sales, telesales, or business development.
  • Confident and professional telephone manner with the ability to build rapport.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and active listening skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple leads and priorities.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and resilient.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce) is advantageous.
  • Good numeracy skills for pricing, discounts, and quotations.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
