IAE Joins Huber to Celebrate 100 Years of Innovation in Germany

IAE recently had the honour of joining the Huber family and team in Germany to celebrate Huber’s remarkable 100-year anniversary. Frank (CEO), Andrew (Managing Director), Rob (Divisional Director), and Laura (Export Sales Manager) represented IAE alongside domestic and international resellers for this milestone event.

Hosted by Creva, the IAE team stayed at the new Holiday Inn in Erding—built on the site of Huber’s second factory—a fitting tribute to the company’s roots. Today, Huber operates a state-of-the-art facility on the outskirts of town, where the celebrations took place.

The day began with a warm welcome and presentations led by Veronika Kamm, representing Huber’s fourth generation of family leadership. Veronika shared Huber’s fascinating journey, which began with tyre manufacturing for their own vehicles—a story that resonated closely with IAE’s own heritage of growth and innovation.

Guests enjoyed a comprehensive product overview from Sales Manager Alex, followed by an insightful lecture on cubicle housing design and animal husbandry by Dr. Barbara Benz, a respected professor at the near-by Agricultural College. Her expertise provided valuable ideas that will help inspire future developments at IAE.

After a traditional German lunch, our team toured Huber’s impressive factory. The tour showcased how virgin rubber offcuts from major tyre manufacturers are expertly processed into high-quality matting and bespoke rubber products, reflecting Huber’s enduring commitment to innovation.

This year IAE will celebrate 10 years of working alongside Huber, who supply mattress systems for our cubicle housing product range. It was their unique manufacturing process that lead to IAE choosing Huber to supply our cow comfort and mattress systems. As two family owned businesses sharing similar values, the relationship has continued to strengthen year on year.

The visit concluded with tours of two local family-run farms, highlighting Huber’s products in action, before an evening Stammtisch complete with Bavarian music, folk dancing, and a performance on the alphorns—an unforgettable finale.
