IAE Celebrates National Apprenticeship Week

7th February, 2022 | posted by IAE Media

This week marks National Apprenticeship Week, and once again we are pleased to celebrate all of our current apprentices for the commitment and dedication they each bring to not only their day-to-day work on site at IAE but also to their college studies.

IAE currently has a total of 17 apprentices operating in 5 departments and studying for 8 apprenticeships. Our award-winning apprenticeship programme offers the opportunity for people from all backgrounds to realise their purpose and rise to their full potential, whilst learning invaluable skills and earning a wage. Here at IAE we recognise that future success depends on us attracting and nurturing the finest talent. With this in mind, our structured apprenticeship programme will provide you with on-the-job experience combined with formal training to give you the skills and knowledge you require to excel in a career. We work closely alongside Newcastle-under-Lyme College so whilst completing your apprenticeship, you will work towards nationally recognised qualifications.

Callum Mycock, a current Level 3 Business and Administration Apprentice joined the Compliance department at IAE at end of 2021. He said the following about his time here so far ‘I joined IAE straight from school and since starting here just 2 months ago I have learnt a vast range of skills. My ability to communicate with people and to operate computer software has greatly improved and I am excited to continue developing my skills. I have settled into my role at IAE very quickly and this is down to the willingness of my colleagues to offer support and help me achieve as much as possible. I am extremely glad to have started on an Apprenticeship with IAE as I am enjoying my role more and more each day, the rates of pay are fantastic, and I can see myself building a long-term career here; I would highly recommend it to anyone!’

National Apprenticeship Week 2022 is the 15th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships. The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses, and the wider economy. The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2022 will be ‘build the future’; reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.
