IAE Supports the English Winter Fair

20th November, 2022 | posted by IAE Media

Today IAE Supported the English Winter Fair held at the Staffordshire County Showground by sponsoring the Royal Smithfield’s Duke of Norfolk Class. Hosted in the Main Ring, the class saw 6 groups entered, with each group consisting of three cattle of the same breed.

The competition is open to pure bred bulls/steers and heifers that are entered in either the English Winter Fair Pedigree Classes or the National Pedigree Calf Show. Each Breed Society is invited to select a group, to consist of 3 males or females or a mixture of both sexes, to represent their breed. Limousins, Herefords and British Blues were just some of the breeds entered into the class.

Our Managing Director Frank Klucznik, accompanied by Operations Director Alex Venables, were delighted to be in attendance of the event and were then invited into the main ring, alongside the judge Mr P. Halhead and a representative of the Royal Smithfield Club, to present the prize cards along with the prize money to the competitors.

Placed first in the class was a group of 3 British Blues which were outstanding in both their shape and conformation. The runners up in the class were a strong group of 3 Hereford Cattle.

Frank had the following to say about the event: ‘It was with great pleasure that we attend the English Winter Fair today to support and sponsor the Group of 3 Competition. Held in our home county of Staffordshire, we have been a part of the event for many years and have loved being here this year as a sponsor. I was truly blown away by the standard of all the exhibits and want to congratulate the owners and handlers for their efforts.’

We look forward to once again supporting what is a very successful event in the years to come.
