Ian Mycock

Ian began his career at IAE in January 1989, starting at the Macclesfield Road facility in Leek, Staffordshire, when he was just 16 years old. During his first five years with the company, he gained valuable knowledge and experience by working in various areas of the production infrastructure.

In 1993, he advanced to the position of foreman in the crush department. His career continued to progress, and in 1995, at the age of 23, Ian assumed the role of works manager at the Macclesfield Road site. In this capacity, he oversaw the implementation of tube laser and robotic welding technologies. Ian managed several significant projects, including cattle markets, FIA debris fencing contracts, equestrian racecourse stabling, and solutions for animal transportation.

In 2015, Ian was promoted to senior production manager, followed by his appointment as associate production director in 2017.

In 2015, Ian also initiated the IAE apprenticeship scheme, which has since been expanded to cultivate the next generation of employees, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to uphold IAE’s core values.

In May 2020, Ian was appointed as the production director at IAE.
