I joined IAE eight months ago and have developed many skills during this time. I am lucky to be given plenty of responsibility as part of my role, meaning that I have had the opportunity take ownership of several projects. I like the flexibility, holidays and rates of pay that IAE offers me, they are extremely competitive- even as an apprentice.
Since I first joined IAE, the company has grown massively and I do believe that there is real opportunities here for all employees to progress if they’re prepared to work hard. IAE is a great company to work for, they treat everyone equally and the benefits package is extremely motivating. I would recommend the company to anyone.
The supervisors and management team are very supportive and provide frequent reviews to evaluate progress and to discuss areas I have excelled in and areas to improve.

The apprenticeship scheme here is much more structured, with much better rates of pay compared to other local employers.
I have worked for IAE for over 18 years and during that time they have helped me to obtain various certifications such as forklift truck licenses, I chose IAE all those years ago because I wanted to work for a sustainable local company that would offer me long-term job stability.
My management team have been excellent at providing me with the correct training and knowledge to do my job in distribution effectively. I have already recommended the company to my ex-colleagues, as the rate of pay, hours and Christmas break are all fantastic.

As a Level 3 Apprentice I have had the opportunity to work within many departments, which in turn has taught me lots of new skills, including programming and welding.

I have worked at IAE for 14 years and learnt how to use a variety of tools and equipment and have spent time within the office and shopfloor environment. I joined IAE straight from school in 2013 as an apprentice in the Administration Department. Since then I have moved into the Customer Service Department where my role includes providing aftersales support to customers who have already purchased from IAE to nurture sustainable and long-term relationships as well as provide credibility for the IAE brand. Having a background in agriculture, I was familiar with the product range and brand before I joined the company which has only spurred me on to develop a progressive career here at IAE.
Since joining IAE 13 years ago I have learnt a variety of skills. My current role as a galvanising operator has taught me vital skills such as effective and efficient product jigging, quality assurance and computer literacy. I joined IAE 21 years ago as a welder constructing water troughs and tanks. In 2010 I progressed to be a team leader, before progressing again in 2013 to be a shift supervisor. I now oversee the day to day running of an entire production facility which includes robotic and automated laser cutting. I am grateful to IAE for giving me the opportunity to progress throughout my career, which in turn has made me work harder to continue my career development. Since I first joined IAE, the company has grown massively and I do believe that there is real opportunities here for all employees to progress if they’re prepared to work hard.
