IAE had the great honour of being invited down for the official opening of Holsworthy Market on 19th October 2015 by HRH Princess Anne.
Hundreds of rural and towns folk, from school children and cadets to local councillors and farming industry leaders, gathered in the market square to welcome the Princess. After arriving by helicopter she was driven to the market to start her tour.
Even though it was not a market day HRH Princess Anne has expressed her wishes to speak to members of the farming community, so a few of the market’s regular vendors and their animals were on hand to speak with her.
The hour long tour came to close, when the Princess pulled the curtains on the plaque, officially opening the market.
