Rob Allen

Rob joined IAE in 2007 as a Project Engineer in the Agricultural division, where he focused on delivering bespoke customer projects and engineered solutions within the Project Engineering Department. With a degree in Engineering Design and Innovation from Sheffield Hallam University and previous experience in the steel fabrication industry, this role was a perfect fit.

In 2009, Rob moved to the Product Development team. Having previously collaborated closely with this team, this move to work consistently on designing and developing standard products was a natural progression. Rob was promoted to Product Development Manager in 2011.

Over the next several years, Rob also played a key role in various systems development and implementation projects, which proved valuable when he was appointed Associate Technical Director in 2020. In this role, he oversaw the Engineering, Quality, and also IT functions at IAE.

In 2022, Rob was promoted to Technical Director, where he continues to lead and drive innovation across the company’s technical operations.
