Scott Bourman from Carluke in Lanarkshire approached IAE when he was awarded a grant through the young entrant scheme aimed at young farmers who are building a profitable and innovative business responding to the industry‘s, ever changing economic environment, thus providing support in the critical early stages making it easier for them to develop capital.
Scott wanted to spend his money wisely to ensure he was going to get the most out of his new equipment. IAE used all their years of expertise to accommodate exactly what Scott required.
Scott’s new purpose built building was perfect to accommodate both the cattle and sheep race, they where both made up of standard stock items and bespoke sized panels and pens utilising every inch of space.
Scott says he was really impressed with the level of professionalism from IAE in all aspects of the job from the initial site visit from the area sales manager to the follow up call, once all installed and running. On his first day of usage he dipped over 1000 ewes and ‘it ran like a dream’. These units will save Scott a lot of time in the future enabling him to utilize his time elsewhere on the farm.
